NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Chester, Warren County, NY for the fiscal year of 2024 has been compiled and filed in the office of the Town Clerk, Chestertown, NY, where it is available for inspection during normal business hours.

FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that there will be a Public Hearing before the Town Board of the Town of Chester on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Town of Chester Municipal Center, 6307 State Route 9, Chestertown, New York.

Pursuant to Sec.113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of Town Officials are:

Supervisor: $43,919.00

Councilperson (4): $7,869.25 each

Highway Superintendent: $68,516.00

Town Clerk: $53,560.00

Town Justice: $35,638.00

Meeting details will be posted on the “Public Notices” tab on the Town of Chester Website:  www.townofchesterny.org.  All interested parties will be heard.
